Project title: Ceramic TiB2 Particulate Reinforced in Al-Alloy (Al-5Mg) Metal Matrix Composites

Summary

This project aims at making a composite that can be an alternative material for conventional one with

higher performance and economic benefit. Successfully improved properties of aluminium alloy. The

reinforcement improves the wear resistance, damping capacity, mechanical properties of aluminium

alloy. Applications cover engine components, automotive parts.

ACTIVITIES & ACHIEVEMENTS

Contribution in research work for DEFENCE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

ORGANISATION, INDIA through my academic project at ‘NAVAL MATERIALS RESEARCH

LABORATORY, AMBERNATH’.

Worked as a project trainee at CROMPTON GREAVES LTD.MUMBAI for a project “Wind Load

Calculation For a high Mast Design”

Attained a training program on “ Industrial Compressors and Plant Visit” at RASHTRIYA

CHEMICALS & FERTILISERS Chembur.

Attained a workshop and industrial visit on “Welding” conducted by INDIAN INSTITUTE OF

WELDING.
