PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

*Cultivates, isolates, and identifies pathogenic microorganisms on a

variety of body fluids and all biologic specimens utilizing automatic and

conventional methods. Determines antibiotic sensitivity patterns as per

CLSI. Perform, evaluates, records and reports clinical laboratory tests

used in the diagnostic, evaluation and treatment of patients

*Perform serology test as Hepatitis A,B,C Ag/abs, RPR, VDRL, Cryptococcus

Ag, Rubella, Mumps, Varicella Ag, Chlamydia/GC, rapid test as HIV,

RSV/Influenza Ag.

*Recognizes problems and/or potential for problem within the assigned

section regarding instruments, computers and inventories. Displays sound,

supportive and independent judgment to resolve issue in the absence of a

supervisor.

*Performs all required QC procedures to ensure validity of test results.

Maintains laboratory equipment and instrumentation; performs

troubleshooting procedures as needed.

*Instructs medical students, graduates students, and/or laboratory

personal of lower grade in established clinical laboratory techniques.
