Security Officer, for the 751st Military Intelligence Battalion, I
supervised systems security and IT systems administration and IT
Network Analysts in the installation, maintenance, security assurance,
operations, and administration of all networks and computers at the Cp
Humphreys Field Station Korea.
. Designed, developed, priced, and implemented an administrative LAN
with fiber optic cabling between buildings to the hub, attached to the
NIPERNET. The configuration included approximately 100 Desktop PC's,
CISCO routers, a Cabletron High Speed Smart Switch, and a T1 modem.
Additional components were designed into the network to accommodate
Brigade level deployment of desktop and laptop PC's numbering 300
units.
. Installed Sun Microsystems workstations onto the Secure LAN,
configured workstations Solaris OS, and installed security and
applications software. Maintained legacy workstations with SCO UNIX,
monitored network integrity. Deployed PC's with Windows NT, across
both the Administrative and the Secure LAN's.
. Worked with, (as the chief maintainer/troubleshooter), on one of a
