Qualifications Summary
Over twenty years of experience serving as a daily advisor to
human resource professionals on a wide range of employment-related
issues. Also an accomplished employment, labor and business attorney
with extensive experience advising and representing employers of all
types and sizes relating to employee relations legal issues in forums
from administrative agencies, state and federal courts, to the United
States Supreme Court. Over the past twenty years have handled
employment-related disputes in more than twenty states and provided
human resource professionals associated with employers of every size
with day-to-day employment law compliance counseling relating to their
decision making, policy development and application, risk analysis and
legal exposure. Have been involved in many sensitive investigations
and have provided advice on interviewing, hiring, performance
counseling, disciplinary issues and discharge decisions of all
varieties. Have designed and delivered training on all major
employment law subjects. Have extensive experience personally handling
agency charge investigations (EEOC, OFCCP, NLRB, SCHAC), as well as
employment, labor and business litigation, including trade secret,

as worker's compensation retaliation and unemployment
compensation;
. Provide advice and defend decisions under the FLSA relating to
minimum wage, overtime and exempt/non-exempt issues:
. Draft, interpret, defend or challenge employment contracts,
settlement agreements, non-compete, confidentiality and trade
secret provisions;
. General contract drafting and interpretation;
. Investigate allegations of management or employee misconduct such
as sexual harassment;
. Extensive and recent experience with union avoidance, policy
review, concerted activity and unfair labor practice issues before
the NLRB;
. Deep experience with mandatory employment arbitration systems and
enforcement;
. Excellent interpersonal skills honed through many investigations,
depositions and interviews;
. Abel to closely supervise activities and billing practices of
outside counsel;
. Excellent writing and public speaking skills, highly detail-
oriented, independent and deadline conscious;
