MINI PROJECT
1) Project Title : " LIGHT EFFECTS ON OBJECTS "
No of members : 2
Description : Light is the most important idea behind visual representation
of anything that a human being can visually perceive. The idea of perception of light
lies in the fact that you are viewing but on the rays of light source and reflected from
these objects.
2) Project Title : "TWO PASS ASSEMBLER"
No of members : 2
Description : A two pass assembler scans the source code twice during first
pass all symbols defined in the code are stored in a symbol table and memory is
allocated for the instruction, during second pass the machine codes are loaded into the
memory allocated for each instruction.
MAJOR PROJECT
Project Title : " LIGTH-WEIGHT ON-SPOT LOCATION VERIFICATION FOR WSN"
No of members : 4
Programming Language : C
Description : The knowledge of sensors' locations is crucial
information for many applications in Wireless Sensor Networks. When sensor nodes are
deployed in hostile environments, the localization schemes are vulnerable to various
attacks, e.g., wormhole attack, pollution attack, range enlargement/reduction attack,
and etc. Therefore, sensors' locations are not trustworthy and need to be verified
before they can be used by location-based applications. Previous verification schemes
either require group-based deployment knowledge of the sensor field, or depend on
expensive or dedicated hardware, thus they cannot be used for low-cost sensor networks.
Here we proposed a lightweight location verification system that performs "on-spot"
location verification. The on-spot verification intends to verify whether the locations
claimed by sensors are far from their true spots beyond a certain distance. We propose a
algorithm that detect abnormal locations by exploring the inconsistencies between
sensors' claimed locations and their neighborhood observations. Our algorithm is
effective and lightweight because it does not rely on the knowledge of deployment of
sensors, and they don't require expensive or dedicated hardware, so our algorithm can be
used in any low-cost sensor networks.
