milling machine

Description : Nano powder prepared by high energy ball milling machine.Characterisation by using

X-ray diffractometer and scanning electro microscopy.

Main project title: Micro structure and mechanical properties of Granite particles

reinforced

in AA-2024 composite

Description:1. preparation of AA-2024 composite by using stir casting method.

2. There was a uniform distribution of granite particles in the matrix phase and

also existing a good bonding between matrix and slag reinforcements.

3. The hardness of the composites increased whereas the density of the

composites decreased with decrease in the size the slag particles than the base alloy.

4. Enhanced mechanical properties were observed with decrease in the size of

slag particles under compression.
