Objective

I am writing to apply for the position. I accepted this position because I would like to work in a team and I

am confident to manage it well with my working experience, interpersonal skills and communication skills. I

am also active to learn new skills.

Education

2011-2014 City University of Hong Kong (major: Material Engineering)

Included courses:

Failure Analysis

Details: To understand various failure mechanisms in materials and to develop the

ability to perform failure analysis of components, through practice using actual

engineering failure cases.

Learned: Learned about the whole process of analyzing a failed material. Starting

from the investigation of damages on the sample to the changing of microstructure

and the effects of operating conditions

Projects: During every lesson, groups of students investigate actual cases. In addition,

students completed a detailed course project to study a failed component of a train

that we analyzed failure by Scanning Electron Microcopy.

Building Material

Details: it covered the basic structure and properties of building materials pertinent to

the structural applications and the introduction of advanced building materials which

are widely use nowadays.

Learned: Equipped with elementary understanding of the categories, structures, and

properties of common building materials. Recognized the practical considerations of

structural applications.

Project: A group project that studied a newly used building material called cork. I

learned its features in terms of mechanical and environmental, but mainly studied its

pros and cons.

Working Experience

Part-time assistance in Plasma Laboratory in City University of Hong Kong

(2014)

I. Job details: To learn and experience the advanced lab facilities and to complete

the lab work of research project.

II. Learned: I gained knowledge about plasma technology, experienced the works

of an engineer and learned about the operation of a research group

III. Impacts: It changed my thoughts that although the equipment and the principles

are fixed, engineers could be creative and construct a variety of possible

outcomes.

Part-time Investigator of Policy 21 (2013-2014)

I. Job details: It is a part of the Clinical Waste Control Scheme of the

Environmental Protection Department to investigate the reasons why producers did

not treat those waste correctly.

II. Learned: I improved my planning skills, report writing skills and

interpersonal skills in the setting of routes of investigation and interviewing with the

nurses

III. Impacts: I am confident in my ability to communicate well with people out of

the company and I am also confident to solve problems by changing according to the

situation

part time Cashier in Sogo (2013-2014)

I. Job details: It included the cashier jobs in different departments and the account

works of receipts from various stores.

II. Learned: team work with my group, fitting in various working conditions and the

ways of providing satisfactory services to the customers

III. Impacts: I understand the importance of giving customers a good impression of

the company in terms of the service quality and attitudes of staffs
