A fast-pace manufacturer and distributor of air movement technology, Industrial drying systems, vacuum/pressure

pumps, and steel fabrication for OEMs in a wide range of industrial applications.

Lean Operations Manager 2012 - 2014

Led the company's continuous improvement efforts to meet Lean organizational goals. Provided leadership, coaching

and training to all levels and functions to implement a Lean Six Sigma strategy, 5S and OSHA safety programs.

Organized Kazen events, practical problem solving meetings, used LSS tools like project charter, root cause analysis,

and value stream mapping. to obtain the highest possible efficiency and effectiveness out the plant facilities.

Operations Manager 2008 - 2012

Lean Manufacturing Strategy - Republic Sales and Manufacturing Co.

One of the most important Lean objectives of the company was to improve OTD. The goal was to move from a failed

64% to 90% by the 3rth Quarter. After some improvements were implemented, the company achieved 96% OTD in 6

months. Some of the actions that contributed to this achievement are listed below:

• A companywide 5S reorganization was performed and accomplished in less than 2 years.

• Work shop areas were reorganized and improved with few low cost but significant changes.

• Materials were moved closer to the assemblers according to the assembly steps for easy access, reduction of

movement, and waiting time.

• Led Kaizen events cross functional teams to decrease manufacturing cycle times by eliminating, reducing non-

value added activities via value stream mapping and other Lean tools.

• Assembly times were reduced in 30%, and machining idle times were reduced 10% per machine.

• Implemented a Vendor Performance Evaluation metric, to score suppliers in the areas of quality, OTD, customer

service and pricing.

• The Shipping & Receiving area was reorganized to optimize the inbound and outbound traffic. RMA issues were

considerably reduced.

• 40% of defects discovered in the shop floor were originated in Engineering. Weekly meetings were organized to

establish corrective actions (CAR)

Supply Chain Kanban System - Republic Sales and Manufacturing Co.

Successfully implemented a companywide Leankit Kanban solution that helped to improve processing time in all

departments by an average of 20%.

• These web base boards, dynamically map the organization's process chain from supplying through shipping

allowing departmental collaboration, as the order progresses step by step.

• Customer Service, and the Sales Group were able to obtain a visual status of their customers orders from

anywhere, on any device.

Lean Inventory System - Republic Sales and Manufacturing Co.

Achieved a 18% waste reduction in operational expenses by successfully reducing production materials stock levels.

• A two kanban card system was successfully implemented to control inventory levels of production materials. The

system triggered replenishment of the materials consumed downstream based on changeover levels. This

approach helped to cut the stock of production materials by 18%.

• The company moved from ordering materials for stock, to order what they needed, when they needed.

Total Productivity Maintenance System - Republic Sales and Manufacturing Co.

Successfully implemented a total productivity maintenance strategy to simplify supervisors time management and

increased productivity.

• All machines, and tools maintenance instructions were recorded in the database to automatically scheduled their

preventive maintenance.
