Computer Sciences Corporation: Electronics Technician (October 2012-November
2013) FOB Ghazni, Afghanistan
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Perform the administration, inspection, modification, troubleshooting, alignment, repair, and
inspection of CREW (Counter RCIED Electronic Warfare) systems
-Lead Tech in Forward Operating Base (FOB) Ghazni in Afghanistan and lone technician for
surrounding area of operation to include FOB Andar, FOB Aryan, FOB Warrior, FOB Boris,
FOB Lilly, and Combat Outpost (COP) Bande-Sardeh.
-Repaired, installed, and upgraded all Counter RCIED (Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive
Device) systems located on the base to include vehicle mounted and stand alone long
range/short range Duke systems and backpack mounted Thor III systems.
-Responsible for accountability and movement of all CREW sensitive items located in
the area of operation.
-Extensive use of Spectrum Analyzers to check all required systems.
-Experience working long hours in a stressful environment with work week being seven days a
week, twelve hours a day.
-Provide technical consultation, including installations, and upgrades of CREW equipment.
-Conducted training courses for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Polish Coalition Forces in the
