Structural Engineer I
Designed and analyzed cable tray and conduit supports for Lungmen Nuclear
Power Plant Project in Taiwan using GTStrudl program. Responsible for
building structural analysis for increased design loads, created structural
designs to strengthen overstressed steel supporting components, cable tray
and conduit support systems for calculations.
* Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental
design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V
policies and procedures.
* Develops an understanding and complies with the B&V quality program.
* Contributes to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such
as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope.
* Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work.
* Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and
principles used in similar engineering analysis.
* Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
* Shares information with others as requested. Coordinates with others when
directed by supervisor or project leadership.
* Focuses on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership) while
attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's main
interests and drivers.
* Shares current knowledge of latest technology and processes.

August, 2008 - March, 2009 US Army Corps of
Engineer
Survey Technician
Provide strategic planning and optimization designed for US Army Corps of
Engineers. Responsible for all aspects of engineering including strategic
planning, surveying, calculation and evaluation of hydro surveying and land
surveying projects.
* Communicate with teammates in performing hydro surveying projects on San
Diego, Moro Bay, Long Beach and LA Harbors.
* Measure and recorded velocity and water depth by dropping the probe into
the water.
* Utilized excel spreadsheet to calculate average water velocity and
average tide prior to designing hydrographic maps.
* Collected/inputted field data into High Pack Sweep to analyze/exclude
irrelevant data.
* Transfer edited data into Teremodel to construct contour lines.
* Utilized Microstation to improve by updating hydrographic maps to meet
standard qualification.
* Strategic planning with land surveying of Whittier Narrow, Lopez and San
Fernando Dams.
* Differential leveling through tunnel using strategic method.
* Recorded and calculated elevation of each station by simple algebra into
the field note.
* Stationing and leveling GPS (RTK) on a know elevation.
* Ran RTK in collecting longitude/latitude data.
* Inputted longitude/latitude into Teremodel to evaluate elevations for
each station.
* Captured, managed and displayed longitude/latitude through GIS.
