Objective
I am looking for an entry-level Geographic Information System position (analyst, technician, map drafter
etc.) to start my career in the GIS profession. I would like to work for a company long term and build a good
strong foundation in the professional field in GIS.

Skills & Abilities
Database Management
• Knowledge of data projections, datum, and coordinate systems in GIS software.
• Understand the effects of scale, accuracy and precision in GIS data in order to create effective and
accurate visual data.
• Create and update existing metadata files to the most current version of the file. Work with
database programs such as ArcCatalog, excel, and access to manage large data files
• Produce simple SQL expressions and queries to edit GIS data.
• Adept in working with computers and networking.
• Some knowledge in Python.
Spatial Analysis
• Compute spatial analysis using GIS tools to look into various spatial related problems such as
poverty, health issues, and quality control.
• Use global and local spatial statistics to get an insight of the problem’s situation such as coming up
w ith a hypothesis and come up with a possible solution based on the result of testing these methods.
• Understanding of spatial regression models and the importance of the best fit model in different
real world situations.
• Perform various tasks using vector and raster data such as site suitability, geo-referencing, point
pattern analysis, hydrological modeling, least-cost path, view-shed and fuzzy membership analysis.
• Experienced in Inverse distance weighting, nearest Neighbor, natural neighbor, and spline
i n terpolation methods and basic knowledge of k r iging in terpolation to determine areas of “no data” in
t he GIS software.
Data Digitization
• Create new data by using digitization tools in the GIS software and update/edit existing data such
as the att r ibutes, location, and visuals. (Points, lines, polygons and raster data)
Cartography
• Use cartographical skills and correct map elements to display the map’s objective and provide the
most effective information to the client.
• Draft high quality and complex maps using various sources in the GIS layout to fur ther assist in
assessment and analysis.
• Learning
• Eager to learn new skills in order to improve as a worker and expand knowledge in the
p rofessional field of expertise to be a bigger asset on the projects given. Works well as a team and also
