dynamic loads. Ability to work under minimal supervision and use geotechnical engineering software’s to
develop feasible solutions. Experience in sampling and testing geosynthetics.
EDUCATION:
Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico 2010 to 2013
MSCE Geotechnical Engineering GPA 4.00
University of Puerto Rico 2005 to 2010
BS Civil Engineering GPA 3.13
MASTER’S DEGREE THESIS:
An investigation of expanded polystyrene (EPS) geofoam employed in geotechnical applications.
The purpose was to measure the mechanical properties of EPS geofoam specimens and compare
them with empirical, historical and standard values. Sound recommendations regarding to EPS
geofoam applications were presented and explained.
SPECIAL COURSES:
Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering 2010
The course was based on principles of wave propagation and their local applications such as
amplification, liquefaction and dynamic loads in earth retaining structures during the seismic
condition.
Rocks Mechanics 2009
The goal of the course was to familiarize with the rock classification systems for design
applications such as rock slopes, foundations and tunneling.
