Fluor Mongolia (FPMM) 7Billion Dollar Project
Oyu Tolgoi Project Mongolia Camp Site from March 2010 to November 2013
Primary - Responsibility to Manage Civil, heavy earthmoving & excavation disciplines.
Manage - Subcontractors
Manage - Screening and crusher Operations For Sand and Gravel
Manage - Self- perform on other projects (roads & airport.)
Train Team of 300 operators and drivers (trucks, excavators, dozers, etc.).
Infrastructure - To manage site roads, to build pads for office trailers, to build sewage
lagoons, to build up areas for camp site to house 13,000 people.
Onsite (ISBL) - Reclaim tunnels, the pebble crusher, the concentrator area, the primary
crusher, the overland conveyor, the tailings dam, moving the overburden for the open pit
and building haul roads. Drill and blast.
Offsite (OSBL) - Build domestic airport with airstrip 2 km long with taxi ways. Also built
an international airport of concrete and steel and taxi ways and buildings.
Make 70 kilometer road to china, through mountains, which entailed stripping of

topsoil and vegetation. Cap with rock and stone. Sourcing barrow pits, layered
stone and blacktop. Road for getting supplies and mine equipment.
Make 125 kilometers road to the north which entailed stripping of top soil and

concrete and install culverts. Make swells for water drainage. Maintain a
satellite camp 100 kilometers distance from the main camp. It was used for fuel

Primary responsible for managing disciplines in the area of civil, Earthworks

excavation, concrete and rebar, structural steel, mechanical and HDPE lining
systems. To train local companies to become contractors, in lump sum projects.
To guide them in the disciplines they were awarded bid packages in. Monitor their
progress, and give advice when needed.
Self performed the lining systems for the uplift and small ponds, with a local
-
contractor, this entailed training the crews, purchasing the equipment, and
installing the liner to specifications. In self performing the liner system with a local
crew saved Fluor 1 million dollars compared to using outside contractors. The
lining systems were completed 2 months before schedule end date.

Coordinate activities with the customer, Bidding, Scheduling, Procurement of

Equipment, Safety, Hiring Field Crews for Radiological remediation, building of
landfill, installation of GML lining systems, for Radiology Waste Landfill. The
Landfill was 5280ft, long was 800ft, wide with ten (10) layers of Geosynthetic
materials for cells and caps. The Installation was governed by the rules and
regulations of the USEPA, and the Department of Energy. Other duties included
Quality Control, and overseeing Earth Works, building the landfill until final sub
grade was approved for deploying Geosynthetic. Worked closely with Engineers
to ensure 100% passing rate of all compaction and permeability test. In addition
the Istre Company would subcontract to Earth Work contractors for consulting in
earthworks, GML Installation of Landfill, Goldmines and Sewage Lagoons. To
Install HDPE pipe, for underground leached water and methane gas extraction
systems for landfills.

Primary responsible for managing Gyr Pipe and Lining, Coordinate activities with

customer, Bidding, Scheduling, Procurement of Equipment, Mobilization and
Demobilization to Islands in the NWT. Hiring of field crews for Tank Farm
Retrofits. Additional responsibilities were safety, and to manage demolition of old
tank farms, moving tanks off site, earth works, excavation, installation of GML,
building tank pads, building of new tanks, pipelines and ship docking stations.
Additional work was to install HDPE pipelines from lakes to villages for portable
water. Worked closely with Engineers to ensure 100% completion on projects.
Worked in inclement weather in temperatures from 32 to minus 60 degrees.
