Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
I assist the Licensed Pharmacist clerically in a retail pharmacy. I have a plethora of duties which include but are not limited to the following.
Duties
-Devote my professional service to humankind through the profession of a Registered Pharmacy Technician
-Consider the welfare of humanity and human suffering my primary concern
-Apply my knowledge, skills, and experience to assure optimal drug therapy for my patients
-Maintain profession competency
-Execute the highness moral, ethical, and legal conduct
-Embrace and advocate change in the pharmacy to reach the optimal standards for my patients
-Receive prescriptions through faxes, phones, and in person
-Communicate with Insurance Companies
-Communicate with Doctors, Nurses, Clinics, and Hospitals to execute the correct procedures to fill prescriptions for our patients.
-Maintain proper patient profiles
-Be alert and vigilant to errors that can occur from Doctors, Patients, Nurses, and Colleagues.
-Perform proper sterilization of filling prescriptions.
-Fill, count, mix, and compound drugs according to each State's laws.
-Regulate inventory for controlled and uncontrolled drugs
-Order, invoice, and return drugs properly
-Reconstitute drugs with proper mathematical assessment
-Answer phones in a effective manor
-Train Pharmacy Technician Trainees
-Operate the cash register
-translate doctors "sig" into the database
-Verify correct allergies and drug to drug interaction that could lead to fatality if not executed properly.
-Document each drug that is filled in a record database.
-Fax and notify Doctors for patient's refill request
-Stay relevant to drug recalls. If not executed correctly. It could lead to injury or death.
