developer sourced requirements (mostly Linux, some Solaris x86, a few Zones
and Containers on Solaris)
* administered a Linux based (LAMP stack) social network for an adult
entertainment company, including server maintenance, performance tuning,
disaster recovery, database replication and backup (MySQL)
* recovered all data and services from a compromised Linux server and
secured the solution, insuring a breach would be much more difficult in the
future
* documented the regular system administration duties on a Linux solution,
so that anyone with general Linux/UNIX knowledge could come in behind me,
and continue to run a Linux based online adult content distributor
* resolved system issues and doubling Linux performance, resulting in the
solution delivering 2TB of content to end users daily, where prior to my
work the server could only deliver 134GB per day (tuning and issue

HONORS & AWARDS
Nominated by a customer for an excellence award on April 22, 2010.
the customer states, "I nominated Steve for APEX to recognize his
dedication, and going above and beyond the call of duty.
The details that I would like him to be recognized for are his ability in
picking up our environment, his dialog with my team, and his willingness to
do whatever it takes to solve an issue? Even if that means multiple
conference calls, and late weekends. I understand that engineers have
multiple accounts, however, Steve has made us feel special and he always
treats us with the white glove."
