• Developed nano-scale polymer models using deterministic simulation methods;
• Implemented simulations on High Performance Computing platforms in OpenMPI parallel environment on AIX Linux;
• Optimized simulation systems using algorithms such as conjugate gradient decent and steepest descent;
• Developed algorithms to parameterize phenomenological constitutive models;
• Used linear and nonlinear regression methods to determine parameters for stochastic models from deterministic simulations;
• Analyzed data and studied the correlations, distributions (variance, kurtosis, skewness) as well as frequencies of data;
• Studied dynamics, rheology and other physical properties of polymer solutions using self written C++, Fortran programs, bash scripts as well as analytical software such as Matlab;
• Paper submitted: Dynamics and Rheology of Dilute and Entangled Polymer Solutions from Molecular Dynamics
Simulations;
• Paper in progress: Influence of Solvent Quality and Confinement on Dynamics of Polymer Solutions.
Sales Analyst L’oreal (China), Shanghai July 2009-June 2010
• Collected sales data, conducted market share as well as analyses to customers and competitor behaviors, and set future sales target based on the analysis.
Projects
• Investment Management Database: Used client-server model with SQL Server as the database engine and Access as
the platform to connect to the iOS interface design tool; Generated forms using Access and created different
accessibility for different users of the database.
• Arkanoid Using Object-oriented Programming C++: Designed and implemented algorithms for Arkanoid (the
Breakout Game) in C++.
• The Influence of Using Social Network for Financial Disclosure on Communication Efficiency: Writing Python
scripts to access social network API data; Using linear and nonlinear regression methods to study if using social
network platforms has increased the efficiency of communications between companies and investors.
• Development of efficient configuration interaction method for electronic structure calculations in quantum dots:
Developed and implemented algorithms for discretized geminal explicitly correlated wave function using self-written
bash script, Fortran and C++ programs and analyzed the results.
• Computational studies on surface reaction mechanisms of ethylene hydrogenation: Used Matlab software to build
the reaction model and calculated the surface energies for the reaction with different catalysts.
• Initial polymer chain configuration influence on properties of polymer solution: Employed Monte Carlo simulations
to determine if different initial configurations of polymer chains affect equilibrium properties of polymer solution.
