To obtain a Speech/Language Pathologist position in a facility that provides an environment where the
Speech/Language Pathologist provides a comprehensive and cohesive treatment plan for students/clients
with communication difficulties that warrant Speech/Language therapeutic services in order to preserve the
communication abilities because communication is the essence of social existence
Scope of Practice
• Evaluate students/clients speech and language abilities and administer appropriate diagnostic tests to assess
speech and language skills.
• Establish realistic and anticipated goals and objects for the student/client and his/her potential for utilization of
speech/language therapy services to enable the student/client to function adequately in the home, community,
and/ or school environment.
• Establish a treatment plan and implement the students/clients treatment utilizing appropriate materials.
• Provide and manage data collection of student/client progress.
• Arrange opportunities for parents/caregivers counseling and /or observations
• Make referrals for ancillary services available within the school system and/or hospital and rehabilitation
center.
• Collaborate and participate in conferences related to student/client progress in planning for implementation
of the treatment plan that is data driven decision making
• Conduct IEP meetings or client meetings independently when speech/language therapy is the only service
identified, acting as the case manager.
• Teach, consult and instruct other school team disciplines or other medical staff through planned educational
or the recommended rehabilitation teams and/or programs.
• Communicate with all members of the students/clients team of professional and provide therapeutic
recommendations, therapeutic progress, and therapeutic suggestions that will provide the most
comprehensive and cohesive delivery of all communication treatment plans.

With children 3 to 21. I was responsible for identifying and provide therapy, meet with
with other professionals and parents. I also developed an IEP and implement the goals set up, and monitor
progress snd send quarterly progress reports to parents and appropriate school personal. I also provide training
for parents and othe SLP's.
