Title : Mixing Process in a fluid industry
Summary: This project outlines the various stages of operation involved in the conversion of a manually
operated plant towards a fully automated plant in the process of mixing. Over the years the demand for
high quality, greater efficiency and quantity of products has increased. The project focuses on passing
the inputs, mixing and heating process with various components. This mixer is controlled using a
programmable logic controller and programmed using ladder logic language.

Mini project
Title : ECG Monitoring through oscilloscope
Summary: The main aim of this project is to monitor the ECG of a person in a simple manner which is a
graphical representation of the bio potentials generated by the muscles of the heart. It is portable, simple
structure which can carry by a mobile doctor. The main designing part of the project is instrumentation
amplifier and the filter section. The coordination is carried through out in the development and working
of the circuit section. Presentation part is also carried out in a good manner.

Industrial Visit:
The Hindustan newsprint limited newsprint nagar, kottayam was visited as a part of our curriculum. There
are about 2000 persons working there. we meet staff of instrumentation department and some workers.
They explain the working of each machine. The main aim of the company is to produce paper with
minimum use of toxic substances. The paper of different quality are prepared using the same material.
Seminar & presentations:
Title: Artificial neural network for prediction of effluent from upward flow hybrid anaerobic sludge
blanket reactor
Does a comparison between the two neural networks. The two neural networks are error back neural
network and radial basis function neural network, it is to check the accurate prediction of effl uent from
hybrid anaerobic sludge blanket reactor to discharge in to the environment. The tool used for the
prediction is the artificial neural network. Initially the sewage water is tested, then after the treatment
using the reactor the quality is predicted using the two neural networks. The duration of the seminar is 3
weeks.
