Designed and built a single hybrid robot spray gun for the coating equipment. This technique is applied
in mass production. It provides a higher spraying quality and decreases the coating consumption from
0.383 kg/m2 to 0.127 kg/m2, saving 2.6 million USD for the company per year.
Designed a slide block-connecting rod to test 8 types of driving mechanisms. Gained hands on
experience with mechanical bearing and coupling design and manufacturing. Negotiated with supplier s
to optimize designs for cost and manufacturability.
Familiarity with snap -fit analysis and tolerance analysis in plastic design. Gained hands -on experience
in plastic injection molding design in mass production and plastic materials selection based on
properties and application.
