Academic Project: Intelligent Energy Saving System

The objective of the project is to implement “Energy Saving System” in order to
eliminate the standby power consumption of Household appliances. The existing
Household appliances have disadvantage of standby power consumption. The proposed
system is to monitor the consumed power periodically and it will help to eliminate the
standby power consumption by automatic standby power cutoff and save the current. This
system is using the Zigbee communication protocol in order to control the devices
remotely and Embedded C programs are being used to control the other functionalities of
the system. This system proves that the power consumption can be reduced and it can be
saved significantly when compared the Standby value and Threshold Value.
Responsibilities:
Analyzed the Wireless Communication Systems, Designed System Architecture and
Circuits, Compared Standby power value and Threshold value, Tested the System.
