Worked on a project involving nematode species type to enhance their performance using hydrogel technique. Magnetizing
the nematodes and developing a method to change their steering angle by a variable DC voltage magnet done as a part of my
Ph.D. research work.

Worked on a Water purification system using two types of bacteria to oxidize Ammonia & Nitrite, as a part of the Ph.D.
research work. Fabricated & Developed a 3D layer by layer hydrogel encapsulation system for dual encapsulation of bacteria
using hydrogel.

Worked on a collaboration project for microsphere development project as a collaboration drug delivery system, as a part of
the Ph.D. research work. Fabricated & Developed a system for cell encapsulation using hydrogel & microfluidic channel

Worked on a development of methods in molecular diagnosis for epidermal growth factor receptor associated with cancer
cells using single molecular detection system, as a part of the Ph.D. research work.
University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport CT, USA (2002 Aug – 2006 May) Department of Engineering
Designed and developed a temperature sensitive toaster oven as a part of the senior project. The hardware description was
done in VHDL. The Date base of the project was done in MSACCESS and was connected to the program using ODBC. The
temperature of the food reads through a probe and it was converted to the four bit digital form using NTE2054 chip. The
probe signals and the output signals were amplified through 8 OPAMP circuits. The comparison of the termination point was
done through the FLEX10K70.

Worked in a three member research project of designing a “Dodge” game, which involves mouse, VGA monitor, and the
FPGA. Designed and developed the logical part of the game.
Designed a temperature display system, using 8088 CPU.
Worked in a research project of designing a prototype of a remote-control submarine. Involved in two-member team for
designing and developing the propulsion part of the submarine.

Worked on the Leman’s and the Sebring development project for the United States Postal Services (USPS) which involved
UNIX server and a windows based SureTrac software. Troubleshooting the hardware and the software issues of the product
and solving those issues were part of the work.
University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport CT (Summer 2005) Information Technology Department
Worked as a technician for the IT department. Involved in system troubleshooting, image copying of hard drives (Norton
ghost software) and network management in Bridgeport campus as well as the Stamford campus which is affiliated to the
UB. Made an active directory under a domain name and named all the computers under that directory. Also worked on
upgrading the PC’s to XP and other latest software packages.
Worked on backing up the PST files and configuring outlook settings including SMTP and POP3 mail settings according to
the particular ISP’s of the university machines.
University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport CT (May 2005- May 2006) Information Technology Department
Served as a computer technician for the IT department of the University of Bridgeport. Worked with a five member team in
trouble shooting the hardware software issues of the University desktop computers, laptops, printers, modems and the other
office equipments. Also helped with technical issues of students and staff’s personal laptops, hardware issues and the Wi-Fi
configuration issues.

Worked as a computer lab monitor. There I helped the students with their technical issues, did printer and lab desktop trouble
shooting.

Division Secretarial Boundaries (Administrative Boundaries) of Sri Lanka.
Made a database for all the main rivers in Sri Lanka using available maps in the Civil Engineering Department of University
of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Developed the database according to information such as: plan numbers, canal names, scales,
lengths and sub-canal names using MS Excel and Access.
