Letter of Recommendation: Richard Crank
To Whom It May Concern,
Richard Crank worked for me, almost two years, with South University's
Online Division.
He was a hard worker and conducted himself with integrity. He continually
went above and beyond and was excited to help out the team with anything
asked of him.
More impacting than his personal performance, was the impact he had on the
rest of the team.
Richard is a special person who will force you to see things in a different
light and his personality is infectious.
I requested Richard to be moved to my team within minutes of meeting him
and I believe that I owe some of my own success from the benefits I
received being involved with Richard.
I have never met another individual who fully enjoys life and is grateful
for everything he encounters, good or bad.

Letter Recommendation for Richard Crank
To Whom It May Concern:
I am extremely proud and honored to recommend Richard Crank.
I was asked to write, as one who has functioned, in the capacity of a
fellow co-worker, with Education Management Corporation, but I would first
like to say a few words about him, the person.
Richard is a highly intelligent, perceptive and hardworking man. He came to
Education Management Corporation ("EDMC") committed to capitalizing on the
opportunity of being an admissions representative, and he left with the
satisfaction of having accomplished the goal of Assistant Director of
Admissions.
Richard grew in production, in character, in depth of understanding and
leadership. He seeks truth in each and every area of his life, whether in
learning, discussing philosophy, or relating to his fellow employees and
his students.
Because of his positive disposition, his reflective way of operating, and
all of the character traits that make him so special, Richard' s questions
never go unanswered and his advice to students never goes unheeded.
During his time at EDMC, Richard evolved into the leader that we all turned
to. Even today, he continues to do a great deal of this work for young
people in education.
Always, in his work, Richard is consistent, dedicated, passionate,
enthusiastic, cheerful, and a pleasure to work with. He has incredible
creative energies, and a refreshing idealism, tempered only enough, to
accomplish what needs to be done.
I highly recommend him for any position of work, leadership, education, or
any other capacity, in which, he can spread his excitement and share his
talents with others.
I am expecting big things from Richard, in the way of educational and
communal leadership, in the years to come, and knowing Richard, he will not
disappoint, and probably will exceed, my expectations.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to recommend such a special and
impressive person.
Sincerely Yours,

Letter of Recommendation for Richard Crank
To whom it may concern,
When I heard that Richard Crank was in need of a letter of recommendation,
I was excited for the opportunity to speak a little, about a great man and,
an even better, friend.
I have known Richard for a little over 2 years. We worked together on the
same team for about a year at South University.
Richard is a high energy person with exceptional people skills and high
moral fiber.
He has a rock solid work ethic, and great personality and an extremely
positive attitude and outlook on life.
He is results driven but also knows how to have fun and get the best out of
his teammates.
Richard is a great team player, and he truly understands how to relate the
"big picture" to people, including team mates, students, and even upper
management, on an individual level, so as to make, the current & future
objectives, very "personal", for each person's involvement, through tasks,
goals, conversations, aspirations, etc., which, in turn, helped all of us,
"buy in", to whatever needed to be done, that day, and in the future, and
why we were doing it.
In other words, he was, and still is, really big on "Why We Do, What We
Do WWD
Richard continuously reminded all us, throughout the day, saying, "It's all
about the Student...The Student's Experience & the Student's Success...It's
not about us, It's about them!"
You will be getting a great person, and fearless leader, and I would be
honored, to have the opportunity to work with him, again, in the future, if
given the chance!
Sincerely,
Anthony Smaak - (Former Financial Aid Counselor with South University
Online)

To whom it may concern:
"I've known Richard for almost three years and for two of those years we
worked for the same company, South University.
Richard was hired by South University, as Assistant Director of Admissions,
and was a tremendous asset to the company, to the students he assisted, and
to those working around him. A position in Admissions can be one of extreme
pressure and frustration, but Richard was one of those, who always kept a
positive attitude, and displayed the desire and ability, to lead those
around him.
Richard had great success in the position and he did it with character and
integrity and was always willing to help those around him achieve their
best. He was one who took the advice of his leaders and then shared that
with others and when he found ways to improve on his performance he did not
hesitate to implement and share that information.
I would recommend Richard to any position where an upbeat, never give up,
attitude is important.
If you are looking for someone who wants to succeed and just as important
wants to help those around him become successful, then I would recommend
Richard Crank.
I believe he is a leader, motivator, and a "resource for success"

To whom it may concern,
I am a Senior Underwriter for Chase Bank, and I owe a great amount of my
career successes, in the mortgage banking/lending field, to the leadership,
mentoring, and training, that I received & experienced with Richard Crank.
Richard asked me to write something about him, and told me not to be so,
facts and figures, in doing so. He told me to write what stood out to me,
about my experiences with him, so here you go.
This paper is not nearly big enough to say what I really want to say, but
let me highlight, Richard Crank, for you, as what stood out to me, and what
I saw, experienced, and reaped, as a result of meeting, working with, and
really getting to know, him. He is truly, One of a Kind!
I have known Richard for 10 years, and I love, and respect this guy, big
time!
I met him, when he was the Senior V.P. of Branches for Ambassador Mortgage,
our main national competition, and I was with Ace Mortgage Funding. Shortly
after we met, Ambassador Mortgage's owner, took all the company's money
out, shutting the company down, and leaving Richard, and all the state
branches, up a creek. That's when I realized Richard was different, than
anyone that I have ever met to this very day, and now know that he always
has a paddle, always!
I knew Richard had a big salary, and overrides on several branches in
several states, but after Ambassador closed, abruptly, Richard came to the
Ace Mortgage office, got hired as a 100% commissioned loan officer, and was
given the smallest office in the building, which we called "The Closet". He
was at the, bottom of the bottom, starting that 1st day, but within 3
weeks, he had produced more loan production, on the books, than anyone
else, in the country, and he boldly asked management to transfer, him and
his family, to Arizona, and pay $7,000 for the moving truck, and give him
$3,000, in cash for the 4 day trip; and unprecedented, in the past,, at
Ace Mortgage, they did, exactly as he asked, and everyone, in the company,
heard about this guy, named "CRANK", who was coming to AZ!
When he got to the AZ office in Chandler, he once again, got the smallest
office, but when he found out that the largest office, in the entire
country, was in that location, he asked what he needed to do to get that
office, since it was vacant, when he arrived. The Sr. V.P. said that
Richard had to produce more than everyone else, in the country, again that
next month, and to keep doing it every month, in order to keep that office,
month to month! Needless to say, I helped Richard set that office up, when
he moved in 30 days later...It was crazy, because in it was a kitchenette,
a living room area, his desk, and a drop down bed, if a late night was
pulled, and I also helped him move out, when he resigned a year and a half
later, for a career opportunity with America One Finance, and I followed
him there with my own career move.
I said all that, to say this, I spent a tour, as a Captain, in Desert
Storm and Desert Shield, and if I would have had Richard there, with me, I
am thoroughly convinced, that we would have had running water, showers, a
change of clothes daily, king size beds, and filet mignon, on Thursdays,
and definitely, triple the salary that we received! LOL, and I truly
believe all of that!
Richard was the MICHAEL PHELPS of Ace Mortgage, and he set every record
that Ace Mortgage ever had to this very day. He was the KING, and Top Gun,
in the country, exceeding production levels ever known by 1,500 Mortgage
Loan Originators/Officers. Richard always thought outside the box, and he
always took everything to levels that no one could even compete with; No
one!
When the top 30 originators in the country were doing 5 to 10 loans with
$30-$40k in personal loan origination fees, per month, Richard was doing 20
to 30 loans with $80-$120k, and I eventually started helping him process
the massive amount of business that he would lay down daily, from calls
out, calls in, and referrals; He was the king of referrals, and people
loved him, because although he was making huge incomes, he always did a
"great" job for his clients, with great integrity, and they all knew that
he did, and they all compared him to their past mortgage "banking jerks"
experiences, and Richard always came out on top!
By the way, I made the most money, in my career, when I was working with
Richard, and frankly, I miss those days.
To this day, Richard is a person that I can count on, for anything, and I
truly hope that you hire this guy so that you can experience the greatness,
that I have experienced by having him touch my life.
The greatest thing that stands out when asked if he can manage and lead, is
this, "His actions screamed leadership, by first, doing what he said could
be and should be done.
Leading by example, is in my opinion, the best way to get someone to follow
you, and try and shadow you, and that depicts, Richard.
