PZT Energy Harvesting: To demonstrate the harvesting through foot

steps to establish feasibility of lighting LED’s from PZT patches

located in an experimental facility.

The experimental step facility will use both disk and cantilever type

energy harvester based on PZT.

Once set to vibrate the pulsed electrical output will be rectified and

stored in capacitors for subsequent lighting.

Duration: 3months, Role: Project Leader, Contribution: Designing of

experimental path way for disk and cantilever harvesters, Part

drawings, Assembling, Documentation. Status of the Project:

completed successfully (Rs.50, 000/-) .Got an honourable indication

in Newspaper (The Hindu).

Techniques Used: Energy Harvesting by PZT cantilever strips, Disks.
