Project Description:

Hunter Fan Company decided to automate their current paper based Engineering Change

Management and New Product Development process through Windchill PDMLink and

ProjectLink. They also wanted to establish the supplier collaboration through their ProjectLink

so that they can share the Change information with their vendors. BW-I has undertaken this

Project in order to develop Project Plans and unique and customized workflows for their PR,

ECR and ECN processes. BW-I has also committed to implement NC and CAPA modules of

PDMLink as well as develop ERP connector in order to publish the data to certain distribution

targets.

Project Title: PLM Implementation and Data Migration

Client:Zebco Brands, Tulsa, OK, USA

Project Description:

Zebco Brands spans over 7 brands of fishing reels that are currently active in the industry. It is

one of the largest brands in fishing reels that is operational in USA. Zebco decided to

systematize and streamline their Change Management and New Product Development process

through PLM.

BWIR undertook this end-to-end implementation and built the Windchill PLM system with best

industrial compliance and practices. Automated the current paper based ECR/ECN and NPD

system into PLM structural formats of Workflows / LifeCycles in lightweight customized

approach. BWIR also helped Zebco to rearrange their Engineering processes in order to be in-

line with best industrial practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Managed a team of functional and technical consultants to develop configurations,

customizations and data migration.

Requirements gathering and analysis and functional coordination between offshore team and

customer.

Designed PLM architecture for customer’s current business state. Validated and ran the

recursive analysis to meet customer requirements.

Modified the OOTB Workflows and tweaked/customized them within the scope of the

project.

Strategized the data migration for 25 years of legacy data. Defined and implemented

different methodologies for feasibility test. Prepared the tools to accommodate migration

requirement.

Carried out UAT, End User Training, Go-Live, Go-Live support successfully.

Achievement: Excellence Award for Project Coordination, July 2013.
