Statement of Motivation
My current research requires the knowledge material science,
coordination chemistry and catalysis. For this propose, nanoparticles
silica-coated magnetic supports (MNPs), metal encapsulated magnetic carbon
nanotubes (MSWNT) and various zeolite materials have been modified as
catalyst support. We have also synthesized various novel metal complexes
(i.e. tri-phosphine silane ligands, tri-pyrazolyl silane ligands and tri-
imidazole silane ligands) and well characterized by single crystal
analysis. These complexes have been immobilized over above support as
Heterogeneous Catalysts.
Our heterogeneous catalytic tests were conducted in our designed
rocking type batch reactor or tubular reactors for laboratory scale. Design
and perform gas-liquid phase experiments to validate heterogeneous
catalysts tested on these reactors, coupled with online GC analysis. We
have also determined the various effecting factors (temperature, pressure,
time and amount of catalyst) for the industrial selective oxidation or
hydro-reformation process to obtined high conversion and slectivity, under
optamize condition. For example, hydro-isomerization with H2 of light
neptha which plays key role in refining oil industry to improve the burning
efficiency of fuel and for selective oxidation with O2 of cyclohexane to KA
oil is further used for the production of nylon-6. After reaction,
catalysts were also tests for recycle to understand implications as
commercial catalysts. For Publication point of view, 06 industrial patents,
29 papers and 24 papers in congress procedings have been published. I have
also received 4 projects as Principal Investigator and 3 project as Co-
Investigator.
Moreover, I am very flexible and able to learn independently and
communicate well within a cross-functional team. Well expertise in catalyst
characterization and development of heterogeneous catalytic or
polymerization processes at lab, pilot scale and demonstration scales. I am
also capable for basic project management skills with a good sense of
humour and ability to travel too.
