Built a 200' monopole for Alltel and installed transmission lines,
antennas, grounding, and an ice bridge from tower to building.
Illinois Toll Way Authority, I-294, I-88, and I-80/94, IL (2007-2009)
Installed CCTV camera systems along the Illinois Toll Way from Indiana to
Iowa. Aligned camera communications by installing antennas and fiber
optics on 50' light poles and Toll Way Authority towers.
McCormick North Security 911 Command Center, Chicago, IL (2006-2007)
Assisted in the demolition of the old command center and traced out all
communication lines that were installed in the new center. Spliced in
temporary communication lines for a portion of the command center that
remained open during construction. Installed CAT6 voice and data, tested
and installed RG6 and 11 coaxes, and fusion spliced multi-mode fiber optics
for hubs that were routed through the new command center. Installed cable
management system in a raised floor which connected the command center to
the equipment room. Installed fire alarm visuals, smoke detectors, and
HVAC sensors. Installed cabling for card access and door locks in door
frames. Provided technical assistance to Johnson Control in trouble
shooting communication issues. Designed layout for voice, data, and fiber
optics communication closet in new command center.
Illinois Toll Way Authority, Communication Tower Erections (2001-2007)
Erected towers at plazas 15, 41, and 61 and installed all antennas. On I-
355 expansion erected towers at 127th and 167th St.
Indiana Department of Transportation, I-80/94 and I-65, IN (2002-2006)
Terminated microwave antennas and path aligned dishes from site to site,
trouble shot errors in equipment, assisted in the installation of DMS
signs, linked signs to towers via antennas, and assisted in the
installation of cameras on all towers.
Indiana Department of Transportation, Indianapolis, IN (2003-2004)
Erected 13 Pyrod communication towers around I-465 and I-65 to support the
traffic management system for metropolitan Indianapolis, IN. Installed
microwave antennas, cameras, grounding systems, and path aligned all sites.
Illinois State Police, Pontiac, IL (2003- 2004)
Erected a 400' Rohn guyed tower and installed 22 antennas. Once completed,
dismantled existing self-supporting tower utilizing a cutting torch, and
removed existing 300' Rohn guyed tower.
Chicago Water District, Jardine Water Plant, 68th St. and Dever Water
Intake Cribs, Chicago IL (2002-2003)
Linked 68th St. water intake crib to Dever crib via multi-polarization
microwave antennas which communicate back to Jardine water plant.
Installed infrared cameras and a new grounding system around the cribs
including the chimneys. This project was accomplished utilizing a
Department of Homeland Security Grant and access to the sites required a
security clearance.
Illinois Department of Transportation, Hillside, IL (2001-2002)
Erected communication tower to 340' with a crane and completed tower
erection to 450' utilizing a helicopter. Installed HP microwave antenna,
retractable camera system, and mounts for future antennas. Completed
grounding halo for entire site.
Illinois Department of Transportation, Schaumburg, IL (2002)
Erected a 260' Cellxion self support tower and installed an 8' HP microwave
antenna. Completed grounding halo system for entire site.
Illinois Department of Transportation, Nordic, IL (2002)
Erected a Cellxion self support tower and installed 8' and 6' microwave
antennas. Completed grounding halo system for entire site.
Cellular Phone Tower Sites, throughout Illinois and Wisconsin (1998-2001)
Customers included AT&T, Sprint, Primeco, Voice Stream, Metracom, and
Spectra Site. Erected self-support towers, slip-joint and flanged monopoles
manufactured by Pyrod, Rohn, Cellxion, Saber, and Andrews. Installed
grounding halos around buildings and towers utilizing Cadwelding.
