Managed a class of 20 students for the school year and taught virtues and life building skills:
• Sportsmanship
• Manners
• Respect
• Responsibility
• Team building
• Helpfulness
• Acts of Kindness
To implement these values, developed a reward/punishment system. When the children would do a good deed, they would
be rewarded a point. If they misbehaved, they would lose a point. Whichever student reached ten points first, would be
given a prize. Throughout the course of the year, when the system became ineffective, changes were made. One idea was to
make students try to work as a team to get to ten points, implementing team work. It also helped them to realize that their
behavior would effect the group. Another way was for them to try to get points individually. They would have to be
motivated by their own behavior in order to try to succeed.
