Computer Systems Analyst Houston, TX

Responsible for NASA archival data management system for engineering data.

Included migration of data onto new media while maintaining operational

status. Oversaw conversion of NASA engineering to new distributed

supercomputer, along with associated data and code conversion (Fortran and

C) to same. Oversaw elimination of almost all networked engineering file

systems (NFS) to direct fiber connections. Filled in on engineering

projects that required programming, mathematical or statistical expertise,

as required. Planned for continual system upgrades involving data

management, security, contingency planning and anticipated workloads.

Cray, Inc.

Computer Systems Analyst Houston, TX

Oversaw Cray platforms at ExxonMobil and other Cray customer sites in Texas

(NASA/JSC, University of Texas and Texas A&M). Assisted ExxonMobil

engineers (and other Cray customers) with aspects of their proprietary

Fortran codes. Later extended to other Cray sites. Developed UNIX shell

scripts to automate monitoring of production Cray platforms. Assisted Cray

specialists in production issues associated with implementations of PVM and

MPI. Converted dated Fortran IV legacy codes to modern Fortran and C.

Xerox Connect

Systems & Network Analyst Houston, TX

Night manager for Continental Airlines operations center in downtown

Houston. Monitored software to support global networking for Continental

Airlines. C and shell programming.

Sultzer Intermedics

Computer Systems Analyst Angleton, TX

Wrote software in C for medical monitoring equipment. Designed user

interfaces for medical monitoring equipment.

Lockheed Martin

Computer Systems Analyst Angleton, TX

Modeled shuttle tile systems prior to early launch missions. Performed

capture and analysis of shuttle telemetry data during and after missions.

Created a suite of graphical analysis packages (Fortran and C) to support

shuttle mission analysis. Qualitative and quantitative modeling of shuttle

engineering systems as part of the post-Challenger investigations. Directed

team charged with bringing UNIX and supercomputers into the NASA

engineering environment. This included systems support programming in C.

Variety of custom programs and utility libraries (Fortran and C) for

engineering support. Conversion of legacy engineering codes to modern

Fortran and C languages. Oversaw NASA's conversion of legacy binary

engineering data into more modern IEEE standard formats. Supported various

engineering projects when computer or mathematical/statistical background

was needed.
