May 2012 – till now Goal of Personal Line Transformation is about bringing in business agility and it is aimed to modernize

TCS (Nation Wide Insurance and simplify Nationwide's processed, technology and product offerings. Nationwide is planning to

- PLT) develop a Policy Center application using Guidewire to support its Personal lines Business. As part of this

implementation there will be a need to integrate this newly developed Policy Center application to the

existing upstream and downstream application of Nationwide.

The data to be Migrated from existing Mainframe IMS Hieratical Database, DB2 Database and VSAM

files into Guidewire Policy Center Data Model for its future existence.

Carried out the following activities in the project:

• Analyze Mainframe IMS and DB2 Data Base Meta Data and its Data Model.

• Analyze Mainframe Programs and VSAM Files to identify the Data Which requires migration.

• Create Source Staging Database Model to load the Data from Various Database into Relational

Data Base Model.

• Load the Data from Various Databases, VSAM Files to Source Staging Database Using

Informatica Transformation and Load.

• Cleansing the legacy data to identify the data issues based on the business rules and fixes the

data while extracting into Source staging Database.

• Create Mapping Document to Map the Data from Legacy Data to Intermediate Staging Oracle

Data base that is the replica of Guidewire Policy Center Data model Database.

• Create Informatica Transformations for the Mapping created between Source Staging and

Intermediate Staging.

• Create Guidewire Policy Center XML payload and load the policies into Policy Center Database.

• Create Reconciliation report for all the stages right from Legacy, Source Staging, Intermediate
