My main responsibilities were to assist with daily function of a pediatric inpatient unit by serving
as a central point of contact and communication for patients, families, visitors, other facilities and
members of the healthcare team. I on average received between 50-200 calls a day via
switchboard and landline phone systems resulting in triage and problem solving on various levels,
registering new patients, taking report for incoming patients and updating information such as
insurance,contact info etc. I also direct and greet visitors, and schedule the conference rooms
for employee meetings and conferences. Other office duties including but not limited to organizing
of appointment books, calendars, travel arrangements, organizing seasonal/holiday unit wide
events,printing manuals for in service classes and training session as well as updating of policy
reference sheets and handbooks as well as being in charge of quarterly meeting minutes. I
coordinated transport for patients to procedures, various areas of the hospital. I managed,
distributed and posted schedules for a nursing and support staff of 46 employees. My positions
base is to enhance Hopkins’ customer service image and family care as opposed to only treating

professional, friendly, and efficient manner. I performs a variety of customer service and unit-

most recent position I was at an hourly wage of 14.70 due to a shift differential with a base rate of
13.90.
