Tag Ranking and Tag Localization in Web Videos

> The project is an initiative towards efficient browsing and retrieval

of web videos. As, we would have noticed, there are many tags

associated with the video content.

> Only few of the tags are relevant to the content of the videos.

> So this project aims to filter the tags based on the content (Tag

Localization ) and if multiple tags are associated with the same

video, the ranking of tags based on the content (Tag Ranking) is also

done.

Study and Implementation of various Video Abstraction Techniques.

> The volume of digital video data is increasing day by day. So, there

is a need to effectively manage and store this huge amount of audio

-visual information and providing a user friendly access .

> This led to a quickly evolving research area known as Video

Abstraction.

> Video abstraction is a short representation of original video. In my

thesis, I have implemented and compared across benchmarks for three

types of Video abstraction- Video Summary, Video Skim and Video

Synopsis .

Line Tracer Robot

> It is a machine that follows a line, either a black line on white

surface .We have used a three wheel differential drive using two

motors and one caster wheel or an Omni directional wheel.

> The Direction and speed of the two motors can be controlled

independently. We have used light sensors, particularly Light

dependent Resistors (LDRs) to detect black line on white surface.

> The logic was implemented on 8051 micro controller

Obstacle Avoidance Robot

> We have developed the code for obstacle avoidance and implemented the

code on A RM7TDMI-S(LPC2148) and checked the functionality of the

code with LED blinks .

> We have used sensors for detecting obstacle and then if obstacle is

detected in the direction the robot should not move in that direction, but can turn and move to any direction as per commanding

instructions

> Device used for reducing the discrepancy of voting procedure and

reduce the overhead of using poll papers

> Device used for measuring the dimension of the object without manual
