. Simulated extensively 2-D and 3-D Heat transfer, fluid flow problems.
Conducted research on potential applications Flash evaporation, Fluid-
structure interactions (FSI), Flow-Induced Vibrations (FIV), Finite
Element Methods, Numerical Methods, Hydrodynamic forces on offshore
structures and Dynamics of Floating Bodies.
. Extensive research conducted numerically by using open source CFD code
openFoam on Flash Evaporation for LTTD plants. Designed the whole
experimental setup of LTTD process and validated numerical results with
Filed data. Developed MATLAB programs for image/data post processing.
. Numerically simulated the interaction of wave with intake structure at
Agatti LTTD plant. Total pressure acting on the sump is measured with
the diaphragm type pressure transducers. Approaching wave height and time
periods are measured with the help of Digital Wave Recorder (DWR).
Numerical results are validated with field measurements.
. Thermal Analysis of Shell and tube Heat Exchanger by HTRI.
. Dynamic analysis on Tsunami and Met-ocean buoys. Lab studies are
conducted in IIT Madras with Accelerometers. Numerical results are
validated with lab studies.
. Flow Induced Vibration Analysis of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. Root
cause of tube failures in Field are identified by Flow induced vibration
analysis on tube bundle.
. Feasibility & Design studies on Solar Multi Effect Desalination.
. OpenFoam source Code editing and snappyHexMesh implementation. Knowledge
on parallel processing and High performance computing.
