Professional summary
Promptec Renewables PVT LTD(February 2014 – present)
Designation: Electronics Engineer(R&D)
Project: Integration of a solar battery charge controller (PWM) with a
CFL BALLAST
The requirement of the project was to integrate the charge controller circuit with
a CFL Ballast. The microcontroller used for this project was MSP430G2231. The
idea was to develop an automated system where the microcontroller would take
care of the battery charging during the day and ‘turn on’ the CFL lamp when the
sun sets and keep it ‘ON’ through-out the night. The lamp would be turned ‘off’
when dawn breaks. The project was done individually.
Ansula Technologies (April 2013 to February 2014)
Designation: RF Electronics Engineer (Trainee Engineer)
Project: Development of a high end ultra-wide band (UWB) Transceiver
Board
Role: My role was mainly to search on the web for suitable components (R&D)
and develop the PCB layouts and test the components for its ultimate usage in
the transceiver board. This project was carried out on a gradual and constant
improvement basis.
Project: Wi-Fi Controlled LED Lighting
The Project involved the porting of the CC3000 WiFi device to MSP430G2553
MCU and hence develop it for to control LED modules (Eg: on/off, dimming etc).
The chipsets used were TI based.
Project: Hardware development of 4G (LTE) base station controller boards
Role: Was involved in the hardware development and testing of a 2 X 2 MIMO
system, where I tested the working of several RF components like low noise
amplifier, duplexer, power amplifier etc., and eventually integrated the modules
to TI’s AD9131 transceiver chip.

Design tool: Stabie soft
Academic Profile:
2010-2012: Newcastle University
Masters in Microelectronics
Dissertation: Design and implementation of a first order delta sigma
converter
Objective: To design and implement a first order delta sigma analog to digital
converter (ADC)
A first order delta sigma modulator was designed and implemented in
PSPICE and the digital decimator filter (CIC filter) was designed in
MATLAB and implemented in VHDL in ALTERA QUARTUS
MATLAB was used as an interfacing tool between ALTERA QUARTUS and
PSPICE
The modulated signal obtained in the PSPICE simulations was converted
into binary signals in MATLAB and exported as a .TBL file into ALTERA
QUARTUS. This .TBL file which is a wave form file was run with the VHDL
program written for the digital decimator filter.
Applications: High resolution data converters play a vital role in high quality
digital signal processing
Coursework:
Designed an FIR Filter Accelerator for a PC with a data receiver and
transmitter using VHDL and implemented the FIR Filter Accelerator on an
UP2 development board (FPGA Training Kit) and connected to the PC by
means of a FDTI TTL-232R-5V cable via the RS232 port.
Analysed and studied the short channel effects of a MOS device and the
process of scaling down a MOS device. This was carried out using
technology computer aided design (TCAD) tool.
Successfully designed and simulated the schematics and layout of a D-
Flip-Flop using Cadence virtuoso design tool.
Modules included: System on chip test strategies, Semiconductor electronic
devices, Semiconductor device fabrication, Advanced VLSI design, Power
Electronics, Reconfigurable hardware design, Mobile and cellular
communications.
2005-2009: Amrita school of engineering, Bangalore, India
