SYNOPSIS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Over 35 years of core experience in Design, Engineering, Construction &
installation of conventional outdoor substations of voltage level 400kV
/ 220 kV & GIS substations ( 132 kV, 66 kV, 33 kV & 11 kV ) & large
thermal power plants ( installed capacity of 210 MW x 7 = 1470 MW ) &
simple gas turbine power plant of installed capacity of 150 MW.
Working as Engineering Project Manager, leading a team & responsible for
efficient management of design team for HV GIS substations, detailed
engineering & coordination with Civil & MEP & consultants. Responsibilities
include:
. Compliance with the technical specifications.
. Technical inputs to specifications for HV, MV power cabling, bonding,
diversion of HV power cables between stations, MEP & Civil services,
proposals
. Development of project schedules, management of engineering team.
. Preparation & review of Primary & Secondary designs, HV, MV power
cables, for HV substations & Power plants.
. Review & approval of technical documents from vendors.
. Coordination & interfacing with HV / MV power cables, Civil & MEP
services during site installation.
. Coordination with clients' consultants.
. Review of project progress in routine progress meetings.
Technical competency includes following activities:
. Preparation of layouts, general arrangement, HV, MV cable routing
drawings, SLDs.
. Preparation of technical specifications, tendering & bid evaluation,
placement of orders, project schedules, progress reports,
. Review of battery, charger & UPS sizing calculations, station transformer
adequacy checks, HV, MV cable arrangement, bonding & routing drawings.
. Preparation of CT, VT sizing calculations, review of fixed & variable
relay setting calculations.
. Preparation of operation & maintenance schedules, annual maintenance
reports for power plants.
. Installation of electrical equipments in power plants, HV GIS
substations, cabling & cable termination, supervision of testing &
commissioning.
. Preparation of SAT formats & review of FAT reports before issue of
dispatch clearance for dispatch of equipments .
. Witness of FAT of electrical equipments viz 247 MVA & 150 MVA
generators, power transformers, MV motors, 220 kV relay panels, LV
panels etc at manufacturers shops.
. Familiar with IEC, IEEE, BS international standards.
. Familiar with MS words, Excel, power point & trained in Primavera
planning P6 software.
. Developed useful interfacing schedules for coordination between various
disciplines.
