The GE Corporate Government Finance (GE CGF), Unallowed Cost Sampling System is designed to aid in the review of
company cost records to determine the amount of costs that are not allowed to be charged to Government contracts.
CGF application is a tool designed to aid in the review of Company cost records to determine the amount of costs that are not
allowed to be charged to Government contracts.
The system extracts data from the General Ledger and Data Center (for AEG and GES). The data extracted from Datacenter
will have to be reformatted. This data is then sampled and reviewed for un-allowed costs. During the review, the amount of
un-allowed cost in each record is determined and entered back into the system along with a code that identifies the reason it
is un-allowed. The result is then extrapolated back into the system, and applied to all the records.
Digitization is an integration project which involves working with the integration of GE applications like clarify, OneGE,
HelpDesk, MyNotification,CADB, Kintana and other integrations using Sonic as the integration framework.
SonicESB is the backbone of the sonic integration framework used in Digitization. Highly distributed, and centrally
manageable, SonicESB creates an event-driven enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA) that can adapt to ever-
changing business requirements. Engineered for flexible, incremental integration, Sonic ESB’s distributed services
architecture facilitates the deployment of integration projects that can easily scale upwards without disruptive re-coding.

The scope of the project envisages providing P&H (Politzer & Haney, one of the premiere customers of Fiserv) access to
services of SourceOne’s Retail Banking Application over the internet. To achieve this, a web services layer is created around

source and thereby enabling the layer to aggregate LMS transactions and provide business services in the form of a single
method through XML Messaging in a proprietary XML standard termed fiAPI to Fiserv SourceOne’s customers. The XML
schemas for the services, compliant with Intermediate Financial Exchange standard, are also developed as part of the
project. JAXB is used for XML marshalling and Un Marshalling.
