Responsible for the monitoring, verifying and correcting of the weight and classification of freight coming in and going out of the South Houston Terminal. I also assist Southeastern Account Managers, through customer visits, by informing their customers on how to classify their freight correctly, plus give recommendations on how to better package and palletize our customer’s freight so that the density of the freight could be increased.

Dispatch Supervisor, October 2006 to April 2007
Assist the Transportation Manager in the operations of the Bethlehem Transportation Department by supervising 5 office employees and 2 Dispatchers. Effective management of 140 drivers that deliver freight to 770 Walgreen stores. Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking store deliveries through operations staff. Weekly completion of the payroll process for all the drivers delivering for the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Distribution Center.
Dispatcher, October 2004 to October 2006
Responsible for dispatching, routing, and tracking Walgreen merchandise to ensure product is replenished promptly and accurately to Walgreen stores. Effective management of 50 drivers that deliver freight to 260 Walgreen stores. I was also responsible for the loading and delivering of Ocean Container loads to 68 Walgreen stores located in Puerto Rico. My responsibilities also included the safe and efficient operation of the 2nd Shift along with the weekly completion of the payroll process for all the drivers that ran out of the Orlando, Florida Distribution Center.

Responsible for the training of all the employees hired to work in any of the 10 shipping terminals in the Florida District. The positions I was specifically responsible for were as follows; Terminal Manager, Sales Executive, Dock Supervisor, Dispatcher, Billing Clerk, Office Secretary, Over Short & Damaged Clerk, and Appointment Clerk. Operations Supervisor, August 1998 to November 2001
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Inbound Shift and Outbound Shift of the Watkins, Palm Beach County, Terminal. As a supervisor, I was in charge of a dozen dock workers handling cross-dock operations, fifteen company truck drivers and ten contract drivers at any given time during the day. When on the Outbound shift I was responsible for the City Dispatch for the rest of the evening. I coordinated and delegated the cost efficient movement of freight from shipper to customer. I was in charge of handling most of the daily customer complaints and various problems that may arise. Part of the shift rotation included working as the full time City Dispatcher for at least one quarter each year. All supervisors were responsible for the profitability of the terminal and are held accountable for the efficiency of their shift.
