Responsibilities

• Electroforming operations include chemical preparation, maintenance of electrolyte, master cleaning and

preparation, post-electroforming inspection, processing, etc.

Accomplishments

Steady hand and attention to detail; ability to work unsupervised are critical components of this position. pH

meter, multimeter usage, chemical mixing and testing are also critical.

Skills Used

Instrument usage/math computations on the fly/maintaining good relationship with coworkers in what can be

a high stress environment. (To elaborate, Rambus is in financial difficulty and trying to squeeze quite a bit into

8 hours, something most workers there are not used to. Fortunately, having worked as a sole employee for

decades at Nassau, I'm used to a small budget).

The only full-time employee of this firm, is responsible for process, production, quality control and packaging

of product.

• Due to small staff, also assumes additional functions such as purchasing, shipping & receiving, various

maintenance projects such as electrical and plumbing repair.

• Responsible for all on-site documentation; hazardous material shipping via UPS & FedEx.

• From 1981 - 1988 worked part-time assisting owner in getting venture off the ground.

LAB TECHNOLOGIST

Energizer Battery - Westlake, OH - 1982 to 1988

Extensive experience with Li/Thionyl Chloride and Ni/Cad systems; primarily R&D.

• Constructed prototypes of various cell designs.

• Experience with infrared spectrometer, etc., along with recordkeeping & documentation.

TRAINEE TO LAB TECHNICIAN

Union Carbide Corporation Tech - Parma, OH - 1974 to 1982

Involved with Carbon Fibers Group; assisted with small-scale fiber production.

• Began in Pilot Plant, many duties, including the operation of various filtering/screening devices.
