Senior Process Engineer,

Life Cycle Management engineering covering formulation and packaging aspects. Led development of new

formula for internal manufacture, and package redesign projects. Investigate consumer complaints. Subject

matter expert for remediation of microbiological issues at plant, and supported technology transfer to contract

manufacturers to meet customer demand while addressing internal micro issues.

• Led lean problem solving, development of action plan, and implementation to remediate persistent

microbial contamination issues at manufacturing site which included an FDA recall at over $3MM. Scope

included recruiting and coordinating microbiologists to implement site testing, equipment redesign for

$1.2MM project, cleaning process revision, and validation.

• Led reformulation of sanitizer product and technology transfer to internal and contract manufacturer

sites. Work with business team to identify outside partners with similar products as an alternative.

• Recruit and work with design consultant and contract blow molder in order to redesign resin and

shape of proprietary bottles to reduce consumer complaints, improve product quality, and save $500M

per year.

Senior Process Engineer,

Process development and technology transfer for Global antiperspirant products. Managed $1.3 MM annual

capital budget covering two locations. Led strategic design and implementation of equipment and cleaning

validations for pilot plants in two locations including SOPs, IQ/OQ. Global subject matter expert in cleaning

and sanitization including instruction to operators, technical, and management personnel as well as future

instructors. Recruited and mentored 3 co op students per year.

• Saved $ 6MM and produced 10MM cases annually by developing process robustness, providing

technical and start up support in US and Mexico for underarm product reformulation to “naturals” line.

• Led technology transfer of continuous antiperspirant making technology, new raw material handling,

and post addition fragrancing to Mexico technology center and manufacturing including: SOPs, authoring

Global technology transfer document, technology transfer checklists, equipment design reviews and

vender recommendations to plant resulting in significant savings and a 2 nd facility for underarm product

manufacture capable of covering 10% of Global volumes.

• Improved quality and saved $238M per year by leading technology transfer, through a cross

functional team, of gel antiperspirant manufacture to Colombia including: development of new batch

process, specification of equipment, writing relevant SOPs and technology transfer document, process

validation, cleaning evaluation and recommendations, operator training, and qualification of new alcohol

raw material for reverse technology transfer at reduced testing cost by leveraging lower complexity

operation.

• Led technology transfer of aerosol and roll on technology to Global sites including: establishing

regular meetings, making process and equipment recommendations, and technology transfer

documentation.

• Co Led exploration of soft solid antiperspirant technology and package design leading to 2 patent

submissions and a Technology Innovation Fund award.

• Co Led development of continuous active dilution of underarm products to allow a wide variety of

formulas to be produced on one continuous system while continuously monitoring active level. (Patent

pending)

• Reduced production time 30% by designing and implementing capital upgrades to plant continuous

antiperspirant making system.

• Created and instructed both 3 day and 1 day workshops on 3 continents, leading to 60 certified

trainers at international sites as key member team to develop global cleaning and sanitization program

and establish cross category standards for the program.

Process development and technology transfer of Global bar soap products. Managed $1MM annual capital

budget for pilot plants in two locations including representation at senior management meetings,

management of change, EOHS, validation, spending and capitalized engineering reports. Tracked hours

and approved payment of temporary employee.

• Managed capital budget to consistently 95%+ compliance, better than all other category coordinators

• Developed and optimized particle bar soap aesthetic process, launched Irish Spring moisture blast

bar and other products using the technology, and wrote technology transfer documents for Global roll out

• Reduced cost 72%, saving $300M/yr by developing alternate process and identified a supplier for

raw material, and opening new cross category product opportunities

• Expanded pilot plant capability adding equipment and versatility, performed automation programming
