Lead a team of 1 Quality Manager and 9 Quality Staff Engineers and

Technicians in (2) manufacturing locations covering machined and

fabricated products. Lead the successful exit of a $25,000 customer

mandated "poor quality - required 3rd party inspection" program.

Improved the safety in both manufacturing facilities by starting

weekly safety team meetings and identifying and addressing OSHA

violations. Supported the hiring of a safety consultant, and

performed several safety audits. Developed and launched a "Layered

Process Audit Program" to involve the entire management and operations

team in establishing and maintaining a Quality Objectives /

Commitments for each key department.

APQP Team Leader - Caterpillar Industrial and Waste Product Group,

Lead the world-wide procurement and stocking of service parts for (3)

MH3000 Caterpillar Material Handlers. Mapped out and simplified the

parts procurement process. Made recommendations to Senior Leadership

for capital funding and staffing. Developed a supplier sourcing plan,

supplier expectations standard, and new product quotation process for

the Industrial and Waste Product Group. Helped support the relocation

of product models and the startup of production in Europe. Trained co-

workers, office support staff, and factory associates.

Segment Process Control Engineer - Caterpillar Global Purchasing,

Mossville, IL May 2011 - December 2012

Developed purchased finished suppliers of sound and thermal insulation

for parts shipping to CAT North American Facilities. Reviewed and

mentored suppliers on Production Part Approval (PPAP) part

submissions. Performed supplier SQEP audits, and worked with the

senior management team at suppliers to develop and implement quality

improvements.

6 Sigma DMAIC Black Belt - Caterpillar Global Purchasing, Mossville,

IL April 2010 - April 2011

Led several Black Belt projects with team members at multiple CAT

facilities. Served as a process expert on finished paint requirements

and packaging. Successfully led paint cost reduction projects on Tier

3 and Tier 4 NPI projects affecting multiple CAT facilities

internationally (CAT Brazil, CAT Gosselies, OEM Solutions in Canada).

The US Fabrications and Plastics Team saved $13.8M Fiscal in 2010.

Led meetings to unite the cost savings efforts of the MDC, Product

Group, and Global Purchasing Segment Group. Jonathan led 2011 Cost

Savings projects with a line of site of $2M Fiscal Savings.

Worked with a team of consultants to requote and resource burn-to-

shape, fabricated, and plastic components to exceed a goal of $6M

fiscal savings in 2009. Developing standard work and tracking methods

for the part resourcing process at multiple CAT facilities.

Developed Non-Metallic Suppliers of Purchased Finished parts for the

aisles by freeing 42% of the original floor space.
