ACADEMIC PROJECT:
FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER BASED SHUNT ACTIVE FILTER FOR
POWER QUALITY
I have demonstrated a design of a Fuzzy logic controller based Shunt Active power
Filter (APF) for power quality improvement. When a non linear load is connected to
the source, harmonic current arises which may cause damage to the entire system.
Hence power quality gets affected. I have developed a fuzzy logic controller and
Shunt Active Filter which injects the filter current to compensate the harmonic
current.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
• Completed value added course on Basic Electronics in Orbit controls.
• Acquired vital knowledge in overview of PLC, SCADA conducted by Yokogawa
technical school.
• Participated and certified in Eupraxia 2012 (National Level Technical
Symposium).
INPLANT TRAINING:
• Accomplished In plant training in Tamilnadu Electricity Board, Erode for a
week and learnt about the process of distributing power.
