Assist with the maintenance of the Inmate Bluecross/Blueshield health insurance program by reviewing
health insurance enrollments and determining eligibility.
This is a high-leveled administrative position requiring having detailed knowledge of the Personnel administration of the State
Employees Insurance “Board. Assist the SEIB Personnel Officer in all related functions ensuring that all rules and regulations are
being followed and the office is operated in an efficient manner.
Input information to the Governmental Human Resources System (GHRS) timely and ensuring compliance with all policies and
procedures with no valid complaints received.
Responsibilities include calculating time and attendance records. Maintain employee leave records, counsel employees with leave
record issues and also provide employees with leave reports.
Provide employee leave reports to employees and supervisors by the 1st day of the month for leave taken through the 15th of the prior
month.
Performs administrative duties such as completing personnel forms, performance appraisals, writing letters, memorandums and other
needed correspondence clearly, accurately, and error-free when it leaves SEIB Personnel with no valid complaints received.
Perform personnel transactions so that employees receive information regarding appointments, transfers, promotions, demotions,
resignations, terminations, retirements, reallocations and salary increases accurately and efficiently and in a timely manner with no
delays in disseminating information and no legitimate complaints received.
Read/comprehend material to be able to answer questions and provide instruction to staff and others concerning personnel matters.
Maintain SEIB personnel files, physical and computerized, ensuring all documents are filed within 10 days of receipt.
Perform other duties as specified by supervisory staff and Chief Executive Director.

sign-in sheets and mail package to agencies two weeks prior to screening.
Process these Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits: Hearing/Tobacco Cessation/Weight Management programs for state and local
government employees. Maintain files and forward requests for reimbursements to BCBS. Assist members with any questions about
their SEIB benefits.
Extract scheduled sites from the Wellness Screening Schedule database to produce Wellness Mailing list.
Complete Printing Service Request forms and fact the Print Shop. E-mail Wellness Mailing list to State Print Shop to have postcards
printed. Mail postcards two weeks prior to health screening.
Answer calls from local government and state agencies with questions concerning Wellness screening and eligibility.
Enter screenings and scan screenings into system.
Answer calls on the Wellness toll free line.

This was a responsible administrative position in the UCC Division (Uniform Commercial Code) of the
Secretary of State office.
Maintain the filing and retrieval of financial statements at state level.
Assigned numbers and verified information for secured parties, as far as borrowing money for collateral to make purchases.
Filed, scanned and indexed information into system.
Communicated with applicants regarding status of application.
Worked with the corporation division maintaining records for domestic and foreign entities that have qualified to do business in
Alabama such as non-profit corporations, for profit corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships also registered.

Teachers’ Retirement System of Alabama Montgomery, Al
This position required having detailed knowledge of the Teachers’ Retirement and PEEHIP Health Insurance
Programs.
Reviewed and maintained members of the Retirement System application for health insurance enrollments, determined eligibility
based on information provided on enrollment forms for employees, spouses and dependents.
Updated client information to records, made sure the insurance enrollments were completed correctly, scanned and indexed and key
punched data into the computer system processing divisions.
Effectively communicated on a daily basis with various school systems in order to keep the Teachers’ Retirement Systems member
records accurate, which included but not limited to sending official letters and memos that pertain to the member’s enrollment.
Responded daily to members’ questions concerning health insurance eligibility and coverage through phone calls, correspondence,
walk-ins in a professional manner.
Had to be knowledgeable of covered services and all eligibility rules, laws, and regulations governing state retirees and insurance
