Professional Qualifications:

• Administrative duties: Data entry, creating spreadsheets, status reports,

research, customer service, answering phones, filing, faxing, copy and collating,

email and scanning documents, and ordering supplies.

• Administrative support to Managers: welcomed visitors, processed time cards,

scheduled travel arrangements, handled registrations, wrote protocols on policies

and procedures, took minutes from meetings, and sent memos.

• Participated in hiring process; training, and managed distribution of work.

• Transcription of physician's orders and handwritten notes of Diagnoses and

Procedures (from charts).

• Claims audit of HCFA/UB82 medical bills for the Skilled Nursing, Home Health,

and Durable Medical equipment departments for accuracy of payment and

coding.

• Examine Claims for compliance to Medicare and Medi-Cal, Insurance billing,

ICD9 and CPT4 coding protocols.

• Contract review and interpretation.

• Claim status, and Check research (stop payments, explanation of benefits etc.).

• Computer application programs such as; Member history, registration, Query tools, Ifile, Epic etc.

• Performed quality audits on the staff for assurance of correct denials, accuracy of

payments, distribution of letters, and adherence to compliance issues.

• Microsoft WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/Outlook and Internet.

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology I & II, and HIPAA rules and regulations.
