Maintains scheduled activities and work hours set by Quality Manager.
Inspects optical parts for surface/coating defects such as pits, scratches, over
flash, bubbles, and chips, etc… in accordance to MIL & ISO requirements
Measures and records lens dimensions, such as thickness, radius of curvature and
surface figure on traveler data sheets.
Contacts Team Members & Team Leaders when discrepant material is identified,
knows and understands when the material requires re -work. Identifies, reports and
routes out-of tolerance conditions.
Makes sure all data is present and correct on traveler data sheets according to
customer drawing and/or PO.
Reads and interpret drawings, specification sheets, standards and customer data .
Independently uses the following equipment; micrometers, calipers, microscopes,
Profilometer, and the proper light source to properly assess surface quality of
optics.
Clean finished lenses, using cloths and solvents
P/T cleaner to clean and prepare chambers for coating runs.
Performs other duties as required with occasional evening and Saturday/Sunday
coverage if needed.
