WORK EXPERIENCE

DuPont: Chambers Works, Deepwater, New Jersey Summer 2013

Worked in Secure Environmental Treatment (SET) on multiple projects requiring a variety of

skills. Such skills involved, project design, project start up, leadership, P&ID draft and analysis,

process hazard analysis (PHA) as well as those that would be used not only in the chemical

engineering discipline, but environmental, civil and mechanical engineering. High exposure to

an industrial chemical plant was acquired though tours of different areas on the Chambers

Works site as well as tours of other DuPont plants.

DuPont Solid-Liquid Batch Mixing Fall 2013-

Spring 2014

Analyzed particle suspension consisting of various shapes and sizes in order to obtain data on

“just suspended” speed. Experimental design (DOE) and data analysis were carried out.

Provided assistance to DuPont consultant Arthur Etchells. Work included small scale lab

experiments as well as large scale experiments performed at Philadelphia Mixing Solutions.

Data communication includes presentations to audiences such as DuPont, AIChE National

Conference, North American Mixing Forum, etc.

Thermodynamics Textbook Review Fall 2012-Spring2013

Full reading and annotation of Dr. Kevin Dahm’s thermodynamics textbook awaiting

publication and production. Responsibilities include figure design, solution manual production,

exercise completion, problem design and overall review.
