IT ASSET MANAGEMENT SUMMARY
David has over 16 years of experience in managing IT Asset portfolios. He
started IT Asset Management work with McLeodUSA where they did two large
program implementations. He has successfully performed as a Project Team
member, Program Owner and sponsor in these implementations. He has
expertise in using the same principles used in financial and fixed asset
management and these were highly successful in providing a new level of
understanding to the management of their infrastructure.
David's experience in governance and control comes from his industry
leadership on numerous panels and committees with members of the industry
compliance agencies. In addition his work with legislative bodies including
the United States Congress pertaining to consumer rights under intellectual
property laws and regulations. He has international expertise in both
intellectual property regulations and electronic hazardous waste disposal.
He was a key contributor for the industry trade associations Best Practices

David is well versed in managing vendor contracts with numerous technology
providers including IBM, Microsoft, HP, CA and Dell. He developed standard
consumer software contract language used by companies worldwide to mitigate
compliance risk, maximize service and functional value, and minimize time
to positive return. He has over 20 years' experience in consulting contract
negotiations from both sides of the equation. In finance he spent 22 years
in the financial asset management industry helping clients manage risk,
evaluate proper portfolio balance based on their needs and maximizing
return on investment. David specialized in both income and estate taxation.
On the IT side he was accountable for an annual budget of $15 million. The
principles he used in financial asset management were very similar to the
principles used in IT Asset Management.
