VSCS Hardware Design 4/91 - 1/92
. Responsible for the hardware design of the two-wire analog trunk
interface for the Voice Switching and Control System (VSCS), a high
reliability voice switching system prototype based on the 5ESS Switch
for the Federal Aviation Administration Air Route Traffic Control
Centers.

Regulatory Testing 12/85 - 12/90
. Worked on a team with the Corporate EMC Committee on the rewrite of
FCC Part 15 and MP-4.
. Expanded knowledge of Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) allowed me
to make significant improvements in the test methodology and layout of
the testing chamber.
. Designed and directed construction of an antenna tower and remote
controls for use inside of the anechoic chamber.
. Coordinated the VDE (FCC equivalent in Germany) testing of the 630 MTG
terminals. Traveled to test houses in Wisconsin and California to
perform testing which resulted in the certification of the terminal.
System Test 1/79 -12/85
. Responsibilities included electrical evaluation of terminals,
printers, and keyboards. Testing included timing signals, software
functionality, electrostatic discharge, and scan code verification of
keyboards.
. Generated software to interface sound equipment to a computer that
increased testing efficiency of over 50%.
. Other testing involved environmental tests like drop, vibration,
sound, storage temp/hum, operational temp/hum, and performance tests
on equipment.
