Hewlett-Packard Company - Palo Alto, CA
5/08 - Now Project Manager III - Enterprise Services- Responsibilities:
Manage (Plan/Procure/Execute/Close) IT Infrastructure and
Operation projects for service accounts by collaborating with
international resources; required to provide focused attention to
detailed project objectives in extremely tight constraints.
Assignments included:
Con-way Transportation account, manage large and technically
complex projects. I continue to work successfully with a worldwide
diversified pool of resources. Efficient in the use of reporting
and scheduling tools such as PPMC and Microsoft Project. Budgets
were tracked daily to weekly and managed variances with Logging,
Project Change Requests and presentation for acceptance. I assist
on a PMO and volunteer on all challenging task forces to improve
efficiency and generate revenue. Projects included coordination of
moving the infrastructure of a warehouse site to another, setup
printer queues, patching/upgrading Oracle, DB2, or Informix
databases, and finding solutions to migrate databases that were
8TB in size while protecting data integrity. My most recent
project was one that I was handed off to me by a peer, while
project was in RED status for weeks and the client needed an
immediate solution in place. With real team effort and reassurance
to the client, we completed the project within 3 weeks and helped
the client regain confidence in HP.
Tops Markets Aug 2010 - Aug 2011, Program managed an IT
Optimization - commissioned to find ways to save the corporation
money annually by cleaning up SAN storage where there was an over
allocation or cleaning up old data or decommissioning servers no
longer used to a defined levels.
Procter & Gamble Assigned next to manage SAP projects. P&G
projects requirements include the ability to create extensive
Statement of Work documentation, Change Request and Financial
spreadsheets.
Weyerhaeuser late 2009, requested by executive Account Delivery
Manager to return for a 6 month project to exit a datacenter in
Denver and migrate to Memphis. This required Radix OVSD training
to complete Change Requests, Service Calls, and Work Orders. Re-
engaged to prepare 190 servers (arrange to remove all support
software, apply OS patches, move from old to new centralized
monitoring services. Customer was again very satisfied, as every
deliverable was completed on time. Second year to receive "K"
rating in employee performance from HP (highest rating possible).
Cadbury-Schweppes located in Australia. Responsibilities
included procuring large Win/UX servers, following through to
ensure on-time delivery, integration, and racking of all hardware
components. The servers were used for SAP instances for Test,
Development and Production environments. Challenges included
working at times when I can have meetings with resources in
Bulgaria, Germany and Australia. Although this project was meant
to be 5 months, the Customer requested that I stay onboard
indefinitely.
Weyerhaeuser account in Federal Way, Washington- 2008 - The
Company was divesting and spinning off another company. This lead-
assignment was to deliver a complete Tier 0 application delivery
(Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Antivirus, shared tools, Proxy
services, Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Services, and Citrix) to
support the newly formed company. After successfully completing
all tasks on time the customer asked to expand my responsibilities
to also include data migration of user and group shares. I
received praise and commendation from peers and managers and
received an award of recognition for the successful completion of
eight million dollar project.
11/02 - 5/08 Project Manager IV- IT Services - Responsibilities: Manage
IT Infrastructure and Operation projects for all HP business
units. Scope project details, offer solution consultation,
document project plan and deliverables, build time lines, follow
funding processes, work closely with customer and project
resources, create regular status reports, and track all project
activities and issues to completion/resolution. Projects include
all aspects of server, SAN, network devices and database
deployments or migrations. Use Mercury PPM software to manage
projects and communicate results. Escalate critical issues as
appropriate; negotiate resource engagement and commitments.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of key services' operational
policies and processes; PPM champion for PM team; managed project
funnel; assigned projects to PMs; Supported Data Center

Responsibilities: Commissioned to special projects involving major
customer issues that were not handled correctly according to
appointed Service Levels; Followed through to resolution, putting
projects back on track for success.
11/01 - 5/02 MSDD Process Lead - Staging and Deployment-
Responsibilities: Develop and customize processes to be used for
external trade customers of HP. This would involve setting up
systems and servers using factory and other vendors; Responsible
for developing life-cycle documentation regarding used equipment
that required special attention due to sensitive data.
