Professional

Total 24 years experiences in the software/hardware development engineering

and Tactical/Customer Regional Sales and Technical Marketing fields as well

as the application engineer included FAE/APE/Pre-Sales and its related role

as well as SAP ERP consulting careers.

First 13 years, I have experienced in most of hardware and software

developing engineer such as software developer for consumer products (DTV,

STB, MFP, etc), QA/Test engineer, network administrator/web developer,

project manager/program manager for DTV/STB project, MFP and other consumer

products.

Second 8 years, responsible for the tactical/customer marketing role as a

Sr. field application engineer and technical marketing manager, creating

Sales promotion strategy, forecasting exiting customer's product line,

promoting our products such as high speed digital interface solution

(MDDI), SerDes, SOC for video imaging/audio processor and power device

products such as PWM/power regulator/DCDC, and also supporting the

customer's pre/post-design in Mobile application (Cell phone/Smart phone),

consumer markets and auto mobiles, and handled all technical issues from

the customers. Most recently responsible for all PulseCore products such as

PLL devices, spread spectrum clock (SSC), custom clock generators and power

management devices as Technical Sales/Marketing Manager in Japan and Asian

markets. Drastically increased the company revenue by promoting such

products to over 400 customers in the past 5 years and accomplished about

80 design in, and 25 design win in Japan, Asia and other countries.

Recent 3 years, responsible for expertise and consult software project

management such as Dashboard Systems for US Government customers. And I

deeply experienced Pre-Sales and Technical Solution engineering roles in

SAP ERP fields to conduct GuiXT product demo, supporting customer's

installation/evaluation, creating technical manuals and technical Q&A

sessions for GuiXT WS products for about 300 Japan SAP customers. Also I

handled to manage the Web server and SAP server which contains all

customer's leads/prospects database, Web site and development environments

by using LAMP stack such as JAVA, MYSQL, PHP, XML and our Web server.

As Sr. Global Solution Engineer, visited more than 300 Japan SAP

ERP end users and conducted GuiXT WS products

demo, seminars, and technical Q&A sessions, and supported product

installations and evaluations as Pre-Sales role

to close their accounts. Also responsible to answer all technical

questions and issues (ave.10 questions per day, totally

over 1,000 questions) from the customers by testing/verifying

sometimes troubleshooting all technical issues

(logic/operations) with SAP GUI and GuiXT products. Closed 5

accounts like Nikon and Kobelco within a year.

Made 5 SAP partners as our business partners in Japan. Conducted

estimate and scoping for the GuiXT projects.

Worked as Global Account Manager/Sr. FAE to promote PulseCore products

such as PLL, CG and power devices in Japan and other Markets, closed all

design in opportunities in order to get design win, and took care of all

technical issues from the customers for both pre-Sales and post-Sales. In

fact, closed 3 accounts of MFP in 3 months such as Brother, Toshiba and

Konica Minolta, and also enable to design in for Nintendo DSi project for

Q3 2010 MP. All responsibility and role are the same as Regional Sales and

Marketing Manager role in PulseCore. Reduction in workforce due to the

acquisition.

2007 - 2009

Sr. Technical Marketing Engineer (TME/FAE)/Regional Sales Account

Manager/Program Manager

As Sr. TME, supported customer's evaluation, design in and pilot run

activities in the phase of pre-production, and also handled all technical

issues from customers in the phase of post-production. Provided technical

presentation and on board demo to the customers, and tested/evaluated our

products on their system (include DSC, MFP, NB, Game console, and Wireless

equipments) to provide the evaluation report to the customers. Also

handled power device products such as PWM controller, power regulator,

DCDC and LED back light controller for power noise reduction on any

consumer products.

As Regional Sales Manager, visited more than 100 customers in Japan to

promote PulseCore products and supported customer's evaluation and design

in activities by providing technical presentation, actual product demo,

samples or evaluation boards to achieve design win. Achieved 5 design wins

such as SONY, Murata and Brother within two years and handled 25 custom CG

design in activities toward their productions in 2010. Managed three

distribution companies in Japan in terms of products promotion, new

technology introduction and handle all technical issues from customers.

Handled big customers in Japan such as Nintendo, SONY and Alpine to close

these accounts in 2010 (over $10 million/yr revenue for each). Mainly

2006 - 2007

Product/Program Manager / Senior Applications Engineer

Tactical Marketing and Customer Marketing role in the field of the MDDI

(Mobile Display Digital Interface) and SerDes client solution in the cell

phone market. Visited more than 40 customers for its promotion in Japan,

Taiwan, China, Singapore and Hong Kong, and created the 7 design wins

within a year including Motorola, Samsung and LG. Investigated customer's

demands and product spec, and created the business strategies for it.

Coordinated the visitation schedule with the country sales and

distributors. Mainly focused on Cell phone and automobile products.

As an Applications Engineer, created the demo boards with the Customer's

LCD panel and conducted the demo/presentation for our product to the

customers. Supported the evaluation and pre-design for the customers and

corresponded technical questions with 5 to 10 customers consistently.

Created more than 20 application notes and delivered them to the

customers. Maintained and updated the datasheet and the application notes

TAK Imaging, Inc. San Mateo, CA 2005-2006

Program Manager / Sr. Applications Engineer

Pre-Sales and Post Sales support for Asia and Japan's customers in

DS-printer and InkJet printer industry.

Supported HW and SW development for the customers in Japan for TAK ASIC,

the evaluation of the platform, all software and its development tools for

ARM, VersaRisc and DSP. Evaluated the application software, microcode

(firmware), and Java code for IPE imaging processing which are developed by

the engineering teams in France. Created and maintained the technical SW

documents and application notes for customers and translating in Japanese.

Tested and evaluated new released software on our rapid prototyping

platform. Conducted demo and trainings for customers. Traveled Japan about

6 times per year. Managed 10 accounts and created 2 design wins per year,

for Japanese customers. Researched Bluetooth and WiFi spec. Reduction in

Software Program Manager/Marketing Engineer

Developed and managed applications and all programs for the DTV project

2005 as program manager, and tested the drivers, middleware, and

applications for DTV model (HD/Plasma) under the eCOS and pSOS. Supported

production line and translated specifications in Japanese. Created RF and

serial download program using C and Visual C++ to upgrade DTV software;

Evaluated a carousel comm. System, Used JTAG (VisionICE) for debug and

testing. Pre-sales support for Sanyo chip in USA. Reduction in work force

due to business depression.

2001-2004

Senior Engineer, Software/Project Manager/Program Manager

Managed the research, design and development of analog and digital

circuits and systems to support HHEA's new digital technology product

development projects; In particular, developed and managed the software

portion of new product development projects as program manager, including

new technology DTV, cable and satellite STB, etc.

1. I was responsible for developing software of DTV such as 1394, closed

caption, upgrade, MPEG-2 decoder, and other device drivers using E-10

or Advice-Plus emulators and ICEs. Developed GUI graphics using Adobe

photo shop.

2. I am also familiar with POD for open cable standards as well as PSIP

standards for digital terrestrial and cable signals, and EIA-708 and

CFR-40 for DTVCC specifications.

3. I was using C, C++, and VB under the Windows and Linux for its software

development. Used micro-Itron operating system as the RTOS with SH7750

and Super H chip. I used StarTeam for version control and bug tracking

as case tool.

4. I was also carried out architecture design, system specification,

performance analysis, and overall system integration as well as project

management for its DTV software development for 3 years. We shipped out

6 new models of DTV so far. Pre-sales and Post-sales support for

Hitachi SH7750 and super H chip in USA.

2001

Coordinated localization for DekJet Printer and Digital Camera with

vendors; created/managed the schedule of the projects; tested/evaluated the

localized products such as software, firmware, and docs; fixed any defects.

Coordinated the translation for languages such as Korea, Japan, German,

Planned, tested, and evaluated software and firmware function, program cue

Software Engineer / Systems Engineer

13 years experience with a variety of Software Development/Engineering

projects. Responsible for designing, coding, and testing real time beam

control programs of Phased Array Antenna(RTOS in Assembler). Developed

Missile Simulation Facility as a QA engineer. Responsible for supporting

the customers in internet. Responsible for maintaining Internet home page

as a Webmaster for 3 years by Html and Java. Controlled network switches,

routers, hubs and modems. Supported the Patriot Project and missile

shutting test and its evaluation for 7 years.

Developed and tested Traffic Control System (Navigation system) as embedded
