Project Description

FedEx Express, Federal Express Corporation, is an express transportation

company, offering time-certain delivery within 1 to 3 business days.

Currently I am supporting three applications - GDP, DWS and PSCAN in

production. Global Dispatch Program (GDP) provides dispatch with a new

and improved web-based system for maintaining pickup stop information for

regular customers and FedEx Express locations. Dispatch Work Station

(DWS) is a desktop application used to manage pickup operations for all

pickup types and manage communications with Power Pad. Performance Scan

(PScan), is a high-speed and high-volume scanning system at Stations,

Ramps, HUBs, and Customer Locations. The PScan is designed to organize

your scanning operation and expedite the completion of consolidation

scanning, possession scanning, ASTRA labeling, and many other scan types.

Responsibilities

Business Requirements and development tasks.

Manage the shipment systems' mission critical applications which directly

impact the business of the client.

Provide 24 hour support for the applications and indulge in maintenance

and performance improvement activities.

Fix minor or major bugs and code changes.

Project Description

MIP is a MasterCard Proprietary communication processor that is placed

on-site at a MasterCard customer's facility by MasterCard for the purpose

of providing access to the Banknet telecommunication network. MIP will

approve the online transaction by or on behalf of an issuer according to

defined operations regulations.

Responsibilities

Design document creation from software requirements.

Simultaneously, I involved myself in estimation for the new projects that

our team was involved with. With the available resources, I calculate the

estimation and provide them to clients.

Once the design document is complete, I start coding and perform Unit

Testing to test the basic functionality of the code.

Then, once the Unit Testing is complete I get involved in the System

Testing and Integration Testing to check the overall functionality of the

entire framework.

Once the code has been deployed in the field, I am responsible for

supporting the code and handling of maintenance and performance issues if

any.

modules as well (which were worked upon by other team members). I ensured

all the modules were completed on time and raised flag whenever it was

An Element management system (EMS) consists of systems and applications

that are concerned with managing network elements (NE) on the network

element management layer (NEL) of the Telecommunication Management

Network model. EMS server side applications are developed in "C++"

language.

Responsibilities

Worked as a C++/Unix developer in EMS server side application and

contributed in the following projects: Show Object Feature, Windows

Porting, Rip Info Feature, OTC Board Implementation in EMS.

Once the analysis of the design document is complete, I start coding and
