(Information Technology Consulting Leader – Designs/Delivers Custom Solutions – Microsoft National Systems Integrator)
Payroll Manager/Human Resources – Performed Payroll, Accounting and Human Resources functions in a fast-paced,
quality-driven environment of a corporate home office. Reported directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Managed all
financial aspects of the payroll function for over 100 employees, reporting directly to the CFO. Responsibilities included:
payroll production, incentive compensation, procedures, tax accounting, timesheet review, client invoicing, quarter-end and
year-end tax reconciliations, and verifications. Managed reporting for Federal and State taxes.
• Career Summary – Provided consistent, professional management of the corporation’s payroll function as it evolved
through several phases, and adapted to market and economic changes. Developed processes, systems and standards
as the workforce more than doubled (50 at hire – up to approximately 120 during tenure). Ensured a high level of
efficiency as the organization was acquired (2000), taken public (2003), was re-acquired by original owners (2004),
and moved corporate offices from Glastonbury to Rocky Hill. Right hand person to the CFO.
• Major Accounts – Served as the company’s “voice” to the payroll department of its clients. Over the course of career,
this included Walt Disney, IGN, the Hartford, Talbots, Credit Suisse, Schubert Theater, Commonwealth of
Massachusetts, United Natural Foods Inc., Hudson Health and Corinthian College.
• Systems Conversions – Provided leadership and continuity as the company changed its payroll vendor, and performed
multiple system upgrades. Systems included ADP, Ceridian, ADP Workforce Now, and ADP Total Source.
• Internal Time Tracking System – Administered internal time tracking system, which became a major contributor to
company efficiency. Accountabilities included: client setup, new project setup, resource assignment and rate setup.
Performed weekly company-wide audits.
FIZZKIDS – Waterbury, Connecticut 1994-1996
(Retail Business – Primary Focus was Providing Special Events/Parties for Children)
Store Manager – Directed an eight-person staff, including an Assistant Manager. Recruited, selected, trained, managed,
motivated and evaluated staff. Set a pace of professionalism for staff and other managers.
• At the request of senior management served as Floating Manager for the business’ second location.
